| I remember reading about him roughing up someone trying to help a guy who was in his tent when the city tried clearing it with some heavy machinery. |
| I didn’t know dc had a deputy mayor and I agree, why is a dc deputy mayor hanging out in ballston? Are you saying he doesn’t even live in dc? |
| Looks like classic ‘roid rage. |
No, he lives in Falls Church. Fox 5 has video of the incident and, at least in what we see here, it doesn't look like he put his hands around the guy's throat. Just pushed him a little. https://www.fox5dc.com/video/1126634 |
Just pushed him a little is also called assault. |
| The deputy mayor isnt required to live in DC? |
Possibly, but the original tweet says he "allegedly grabbed the victim by the throat". I don't see that happening in the video. I am not arguing that the guy shouldn't be charged, just that the reports of what happened should be accurate. |
| He has a shady past. Multiple women have accused him of sexual harassment. A real dirt bag. My husband used to work with him. Left his pregnant wife for another woman. |
|
I believe he is Executive Service - Reg Appt which would mean he has a DC residency.
"... Executives are required to live in the District, and have 180 days from the date of appointment to establish residency. They are required to provide proof of residency." |
| Mayor Muriel Bowser Presents...! |
DC has a lot of deputy mayors, they're like cabinet secretaries. This guy is deputy mayor for public safety, which is police and fire, so this is kind of a big deal. |
| Why would they release him after he assaulted someone? Sounds dangerous. |
The tweet reported what the victim claims. How is that not accurate? |
