What percentage HYP come from private vs public high schools?

| It's on their websites. In Yale's class of 2026, counting only students who attended high school in the US, 65% attended public schools. |

| Yeah but where? In many areas of the country legacy families live in areas where public schools are really strong and de facto exclusive. So in those situations it makes sense to forgo private tuition and put that money into tutoring, ECs, and the 529. |
