| I am behind the pack and have never used a food delivery service. Ready to sign up as I need to travel overseas to tend to a sick parent and think this would be good for DH and kids while I am gone. Any recommendations about which is better in the Bethesda or broader DC area? Do they cost the same in terms of fees? I think I can get a free DoorDash account for 12 months with one of my credit cards but don't know whether that actually saves much. Appreciate any advice! |

We use Doordash with our Chase card. We get free delivery (which most everyone gets anyway) and reduced DD fees. We use it enough that it makes a difference.
In our area all the delivery services pretty deliver for the same restaurants. |
| Door Dash has had drivers eat the food we ordered. Not a fan. |
| Look at both apps and see which one has more restaurants you would want to order from. In my area it's DoorDash so that's what I got the plan for (through my credit card as a 12 month offer). All the apps have drivers that signed up with a minimal background check so sometimes you get great ones and sometimes crappy ones. For the most part though, I get my food and most restaurants do seal the bags so you know it's not tampered with. |
