Multiple ear piercings on older woman

Anonymous
I’m about to turn 40 and my style could be described as blandly on trend with the slightest bit of edge (as in im taking no fashion risks but also not hopelessly frumpy, and I’m a more urban style / not at all preppy)

I’ve recently been noticing and loving the multiple piercings it seems a lot of older (as in not 20yos) women have these days. Savannah Gunthrie as the most notable example. After a 20 year hiatus I started wearing earrings in my second holes again and am considering a new piercing.

Is this just a midlife crisis and it actually looks super lame? If I did get one or two more holes, what should it be? It seems like they’re on all parts of the ear these days

I’m a dentist and I have three holes in each earlobe and I recently got a lower cartilage piercing on my right ear. I love them! I think it’s fine.

Im indian and 46. I could see getting my nose pierced— my grandma had one, but my mom thought it was too old fashioned! I bought some clip on nose rings in India and liked how they looked.

Nothing looks nicer than a Indian "nathni". Its all the rage thanks to Sabyasachi.

Who cares!!! Live your life for you and no one else. If you don’t like it some years later let them grow in.

I'm almost 50, and have a septum ring and many piercings in each ear, including cartilage piercings, tragus, and 2G stretched lobes (used to be 000g, but I let them shrink down). However, I have had all of these piercings since my teens/early 20's. I don't care what people think, I still want them. I have, however, taken out my nostril piercing, multiple lip piercings and tongue piercings in my 30's, but for various reasons and not that I cared what people thought. I've worked in a professional job while having all of my piercings, it has never affected anything. I also have full sleeves and other tattoos which has never impeded my career at all.

NP-No they don’t. I got an extra piercing in one ear and haven’t worn an earring in it for 30 years. It’s not closed and can see it looks different from other ear.

I like the look. Not my style but I’ve liked multiple ear piercings on other women.

I like the look, too. I'm planning on adding a second piercing when my daughter gets her ears pierced.

In before Mrs. “Second ear piercings are trashy and so are your daughters that have them” arrives
