Infertility Support and Discussion
| My husband and I have been ttc for 3 months. We're both healthy, in our early 30's. I have a very regular cycle and I believe we have been trying on peak days. My husband has some erectile dysfunction issues but he's been told by his urologist that it isn't a predictor for male infertility (I worry though...). How long did you wait to make an appointment with an RE? My OB said to try for 6 months before being at all concerned (ha!). If there are underlying problems I don't want to look back and wish we had taken new steps to get pregnant sooner. I realize that 3 months isn't a long time to be trying, how long before you made your first appointment? Was it a full workup or did you start with a semen analysis first? |
| I asked my ob for bloodwork for myself after 4 months. Glad I did because I had high fsh |

5 months. I have a history of endometriosis and had some issues with my cycle.
3 months isn't that long. I was surprised by how low the statistical monthly averages are for women to conceive naturally in their 30's. Don't recall the exact number, but think it was around 20% or less each month for the early 30's. Could be wrong tho... For DC1, when I was early 30's and not dealing with endo or weird cycles, it took 4 months. Are you sure you sure you're trying on peak days? You may want to chart or try OPKs to be positive. |
