| I'm putting my online grocery order in and see that a bag of grapes is almost 8 dollars! What? When did this happen? |
Depending on the season. Green grapes are genery $3/lb, red grapes a bit cheaper. Have you been in a coma? I jokingly told my children to save corn cobs because toilet tissue is so expensive. |
| Current prices are 2.5 to $4 per lb. Grapes are water so they ate heavy. We grt ours at costco. Taste good and the best deal. |
| They've been expensive for a while. Berries are shooting up in price too now that we are out of season. On a better note, we got our first bag of tangerines for the season and they are DELICIOUS! |
OP here. DH usually grocery shops and I usually skim fast and add to cart on online orders. I was just shocked that a bag of grapes cost that much. I thought it used to be closer to $3-5ish? I hate grocery shopping so I really wouldn't know the cost of things. |
| They are often on sale for $1.99 or less. That is the only time we have them. |
| Where are you shopping? I order online from Safeway and they charge ridiculous prices for grapes online. In the store they are often on sale. |
| I just paid $16 for a bag at Harris teeter. Granted, they are crunchy and delicious and my kids love them. But seriously. $16? Who do they think they are? Cherries? |
LOL! The last bag of cherries I bought was $18.00. The grapes were half that, IIRC. |
You just gotta buy sale produce and then throw in one or two mainstays. Grapes were 1.49 last week at ALDI. But basically we try to do 2 cheaper fruits and 2 desired fruits. |
| Are you buying the fancy grapes like Moondrops or Sundrops or whatever? |
| I've noticed grapes have been stupidly expensive for a while now. :/ |
| Aldi my friends. Even the organic are 2.99 |
