Don't trust pulse diagnosis!

Anonymous
Just thought I'd share my experience--while going through a recent IVF, even though I had feelings that it did not work, my acupuncturist kept telling me it worked and that I was pregnant. He even went so far as to tell me the gender of this invisible baby. Well, it turns out he was wrong and all I can say is that the devastation of hearing the news that it was BFN was made even worse after hearing numerous confirmations by my acupuncturist that I was pregnant. While they may be right some of the time, and some may be better than others, please don't make the same mistake I did and get your hopes up.

I am so sorry to hear that this happened to you - how horrible!! BFNs are never easy, but certainly worse in your case. I have asked my acupuncturist if she can tell if you are pregnant with pulses and she said yes, but that she won't share that information with the patient until after beta confirms pregnancy and then only when asked about the pulse. Definitely give your acupuncturist an earful and consider going to someone else for future treatments.

Please post the name of this acupuncturist so others can avoid - that is downright fraud, especially to claim to know the gender of the baby.

I am so sorry this happened to you. The same thing happened to me not with gender though. I had an iui and a day or so later - I was informed that it worked. I knew that was bs & not going back. Please don't go back to this guy - find someone else.
