Just remembered jury summons...and it was 2 days ago: WWYD?

I have had an insanely busy couple of months, literally working around the clock after my company had a massive crisis. I live in MoCo and got a jury summons a couple of weeks ago and set the notice aside. I was just watching a rerun of the Office where they mentioned jury duty and I suddenly remembered and dug it out. I missed the date entirely. What happens now? Has anyone BTDT? SHould I call and ask for some kind of redo or just wait for the county to come hunt me down? I didn't do it intentionally - a day of jury duty would have been a great excuse for getting out of work for a day.

No way to know if you actually had to appear. But I’d probably call.

Do they even know you received it? I would just ignore at this point. There's nothing they can really do.

I say this as someone who has served in a jury twice and gotten a lot out of it. But I also know ppl who just skipped it (on purpose, not like you OP) and was shocked to learn that!

Just ignore, no one gets in trouble anymore. Some places only 10% of people even show up for jury duty.

Call and they will just put you back in pool. Everyone forgets sometimes; don't make it a habit though.

This is the deadbeat, anti-citizenship answer.

sometimes calls are canceled. It might have been canceled. I'd call. You will not get in trouble.
