Losing weight and now I’m always cold

Anonymous
Has this happened to anyone else?

I was obese and now overweight. My labs are all fine. Im on mounjaro and have lost 25-30lbs but now I’m always freezing. This happened once before when I lost weight. I guess my body is just reacting to losing weight. I don’t know but it’s strange to always be cold now. Is there anything to do besides wearing a sweater? Gosh, I’m just realizing that I was always a hot sweaty mess when I was pregnant and a whale. It’s weird.

Totally normal

Yes, normal. It is your body downregulating your metabolism by turning down the temperature to burn less calories to try to hold onto fat because of your calorie deficit.

I recently lost 25 lbs and I am feeling the cold at night more. I think it's normal, there's less fat insulating me (and you too).

I lost 45 pounds (overweight to normal <20 BMI) and I am less cold than I used to be. I also feel like my metabolism is working just fine (I am not restricting calories to maintain my weight - I eat a lot). Or maybe its just my age (50) and hormones. Still no hot flashes.

OP is likely not eating much if she’s on mounjaro and lost 30 pounds since mid-may at the earliest (mounjaro was approved may 13th)
