I’m watching my first Christmas movie of the season today

Too early too early I know but I start feeling festive right around now when the days are getting colder and shorter. This is my favorite time of year! Plus Christmas with the Kranksvis leaving Netflix this month and it’s a very underrated Christmas movie. Happy holidays!!!

I was having a rough couple of weeks and turned on Christmas music last week for a few songs. Do what you need to do. It's ok to bring comfort in whatever way is meaningful to you.

It's good to stay ahead of the game. By the time people are celebrating Christmas, you are already doing spring break. Less hype if you ask me.

You need to poke yourself in the eye and go enjoy the fall

To be more inclusive, couldn’t you just say “holiday movie,”
OP?

Ever since the pandemic, I watch Hallmark Christmas/holiday movies all year-round.

I think sometimes the transition to autumn signals for some people a nesting instinct and the slide towards all things celebratory and holidays from Halloween to Thanksgiving to the many December holidays.

Not yet watching Christmas movies but I need to find some Hallmark autumn-themed movies to watch. Also to me, the sound of football is very much associated with fall since my parents were/are huge sports fans. Even now I'm WFH and the house is quiet, so three rooms away I have a rerun of a football game on in the background to provide some noise. In December it will be holiday music, but for now the soundtrack of this season is football.

For me it's a bit early for Christmas movies but zero judgement, OP. I get it.

Is "Christmas with the Kranks" a good watch for family movie with 10 & 12 year olds?

No! If OP wants to say Christmas. He or she can say Christmas. If anyone has a problem with this they can leave the thread. So tired of everyone being up in arms about every single things. Let the OP kick their CHRISTMAS off early if he or she wants to.

Thanks OP now I'm going to watch a Christmas movie tonight too.

yep! It has some fun/silly elements, and it's very much a family movie.

What's your favorite? I love any and all Christmas Carol. My favorite of CC is Scrooge the musical with Albert Finney. Home for the Holidays is really Thanksgiving but it's still a great film

The movies are called Christmas movies because, strangely enough, they are about CHRISTMAS 🎄⛄.
