If your child got merit money at northeastern, what were there stats?

Thank you! Trying to figure out how likely it is to manage expectations a bit about affordability. (And please, northeastern hater, I know you think the place is a scam for miserable idiots so need to chime in!)

My kid, who applied last fall and is now a freshman, had 3.98 GPA, a 4.53 wGPA, and a 35 ACT score. He was awarded the Honors scholarship, which is $32K per year

Mine applied EA last fall and is loving their freshman experience. 4.7 weighted GPA, 33 ACT, from MCPS. Received dean’s scholarship of $12,000/year.

Child applied ED to Ivy was deferred. Applied EA to NE and was deferred to Spring decisions. In Spring was admitted to one of the abroad programs w/I think $12,000 scholarship. Upper 1500 SAT, unweighted close to 4, weighted maybe mid 4 and 5s on APs. I think the scholarship was given make starting abroad more appealing since they had wanted Boston campus. I think NE had close to 90,000 or more applicants last year. Our kid was lucky to get an offer because so many great students from this area were rejected. If your child really wants NE, demonstrate your interest. In the end our student chose a different school that was smaller. Students we know at NE, including those that started abroad, are very happy there. Good luck. If your kid likes NE and Boston, consider BU. They have an honors college that looked good.

I guess you need to work on test prep if interested in merit

So Northeastern pays for just for high test scores instead of high GPAs and elite ECs?
