Do you remember 1994? .99 cents for a whopper.$4.99 for a large pizza.
I miss those prices.

I talked to the manager of BK and he told me he was born that year! Funny

99 cents menu at Wendy's kept me nice and happy my junior year in high school 😊

Sure, but I was also making about $4.35 an hour as a grocery store cashier to afford it.

I didn't start driving until 97, and I recall .99 cents gas until 98-99. Those were the good ole days when I could fill my Sentra with $10

That was a better deal than the current minimum wage.

1994 was a great year. Pearl Jam released Vitalogy and were in their musical prime. The internet was in its infancy. Young boys everywhere were on the verge of discovering free porn on the internet.

Unfortunately there was no World Series.

Exactly. None of these people know how inflation works. Adjusted for inflation, gasoline has been around $3.0 - 3.3 per gallon for the last 40 years, until the last year. The $3.0 was 2017-2020.

Just another way the average person is so easily manipulated. Most people don’t realize and wouldn’t believe it if you show the actual data. Gas in 1994 averaged 1.17 which is 3.15 in 2021 dollars. I actually just put gas in my car today, in NY, at a price of exactly 3.15! But prices are high….sigh….

Homicide rate
1994 - 8.9
2021 - 6.9 and trending down in 2022

The early 90s were the peak gang years

Np, how did either of those scenarios impact you to the point that 1994 wasn't a great year?
