Salon/stylist recommendation in MoCo

| I've been a bit dissatisfied with my usual stylist at Art and Chemistry in Rockville. Would love to just try someone else there, but it would be too awkward. So I'm looking for other suggestions. I've been to Perez and O'Hair in the past with ok results, but now I read mixed reviews of these places online. I have thick hair, about shoulder length, but I have some funky waves in my hair that I'm always struggling with, so I'm really looking for someone who will listen to my story and be able to help determine the right cut for my lifestyle (early 40s, work PT, two preschoolers). Also, I would prefer to keep the cost under $80. Any suggestions? |

| Monika at Salon Jolie in Bethesda cut my hair recently, after I switched from a hoity-toity French guy. She did a great job with my thick not yet grey hair and I got a lot of compliments. |

| O'Hair in the Kentlands if you want to go that far up 270. They are $70 flat rate, no tipping allowed. Laura's my favorite, but all the stylists are great. |

| agree with Hugo. I like Athanasia there... she also has thick hair with some waves. I have thin wavy hair and she does great. They do really nice trendy cuts but they can do conservative too. I see a whole range of people getting their hair done there. |

| When I lived in Montgomery County, I went to Golli at the Illusions hair salon in Montogmery Village (next to the Giant). She was excellent, prices were reasonable, and owner of the salon was very friendly. She was also great at eyebrow waxing. |

Johnnie at Alchemy is Silver Spring is awesome! He is very skilled and reasonably priced. He's cute too.

I loved Alchemy; their stylists are excellent. Unfortunately, they're too expensive for me at this point. But I still recommend them to anyone who can afford maintenance at that price. |
