Research this a lot. I swear the goldens I’m seeing these days are giant cross eyed drool machines.

I recommend reading all the stickies first. Basically: If you want a golden from a reputable breeder be prepared to wait a bit and pay around 3k. Worth it for peace of mind re: temperament, health, etc. Don’t go with any breeder who doesn’t do health clearances. There are a LOT of golden breeders who are unethical and making tons of $$$ and they can come across as very reputable. I am on a few waiting lists now and will be very happy to get a dog from any of the breeders I selected, sometime in the next 12 months.
