Daycare still requiring PCR

Anonymous
Are other daycares still requiring PCR to return after illness (or really any “symptoms”)? Ours is. Wondering how much of an outlier that is at this point in the DMV areas.

Ours is, when a child or teacher has symptoms

No. Ours takes rapids.

Nope, our daycare center in MoCo has reverted to prepandemic policies for illness. No pcr or rapid test required.

No, our daycare never requires it. But, I always take my kid to see pediatrican when she is sick, and I return her with a pcr negative test & a doctor note. Our daycare appreciate it, and the reason I do that because I don't want them to call me afterwards to pick up my child.

No, ours has accepted rapids for over a year.

For symptoms we don’t even test to return - just go back when symptoms subside.

Ours requires a PCR and if negative, but still had symptoms which really are everything at this point, a note from the doctor certifying it isn’t a false negative and that we tested at the correct time.

I think ours may officially requires PCR for any symptoms but they only actually ask for one if the kid got sent home for a bad cold. If you keep your kid home while symptomatic, they seem to be operating with a don't ask don't tell approach.

Yes, ours requires PCR to return. They've relaxed some of their quarantine policies for older kids (not babies) but the PCR thing is ridiculous and if it doesn't change we are planning to leave.

Ours in MoCo does not require PCR.

Ours is requiring PCR after international travel, but rapid/at-home for symptoms or US travel.

If a child or teacher has symptoms, they get a PCR test.

If they have been around someone and want to test to see if they are contagious, they do a rapid home test (like kids in a classroom have covid, the other children test to make sure they aren't contagious, or a person returning after having covid does a rapid test to make sure they aren't contagious - and can return when they are not.

In MoCo. Ours requires a PCR to return after illness and they want rapid tests done by the whole family every time we go out of town. They also still make everyone wear a mask. My pediatrician offered this week to write a letter on my behalf because she thinks the policies are stupid at this point.

Interesting that some comments here were deleted. I don not agree with suggesting forged reports, but I also do not agree with censorship.
