Thanks. They have a portable high chair and are probably good on all the functional things. Looking more for a toy or books

We loved the Sandra Boynton books -- especially the Barnyard Dance and the Bellybutton Book. Also loved the really nice jammies from Magnetic Me.

Hape baby toys

I also like the wood stools with the baby's name on them, but they're more like $85

The stool is a great idea, and I think you could find one for $50. We got one for my daughter's 1st birthday with her name as blocks that she could pull out and play with. She is 8 and still uses the stool to see in the mirror in the bathroom.

Hello,
I bought a besrey baby carrier last year for my baby who is 1 year old. This baby carrier is a marvel, it is light and sturdy with safety buckles and straps to hold the baby, a padded seat, the child is comfortably on it, I carry my baby wherever I want without getting tired. Here is my trick.

I'd get a Little People toy (bus, train) and maybe some extra people to go in it, since they only include two now. It's safe enough for that age, and if he's anything like my boys, pretty soon that kid is going to be all about trucks and trains. It can also continue to be used and loved for a few years. Spend the rest on something practical and cute, like a really adorable fall coat. Check out Joules and Boden for some ideas.

If you want more toy suggestions, I also really like the Fat Brain toys for this age, but I'm sorry to report they'll be over both by age 2:
Whirly Squigz - https://www.fatbraintoys.com/toy_companies/fat_brain_toy_co/whirly_squigz.cfm
Spin again - https://www.fatbraintoys.com/toy_companies/fat_brain_toy_co/spinagain.cfm

Megablocks are also good for the 1-2 year set.

Nose frida because new moms have never heard of it and it’s awesome. You could do a bunch of baby meds like Tylenol, Advil etc in a little basket or something to go with it.
