Has anyone used this/followed this method? Reviews?

We used their schedules with our twins. It was the only way we were going to stay sane as first time parents, with preemie twins, at the height of Covid. I buy the book for all of my expecting friends!

My MIL gave us the book but it just didn't fit our style of parenting. It was way too rigid and prescriptive. We follow schedules, but we are not militant about things and I'm not the sort of person who writes everything down. Admittedly, we could be this way because our kids were all born healthy at 39 weeks. We sleep trained all of them between 12-14 weeks and just endured the crazy sleep schedule up until we sleep trained.

I have had a couple friends use it with success, but I really think it depends on your baby. My friends who have used it successfully also definitely had decent sleepers to begin with. Babies that would sleep a full length nap so it was actually more reasonable to follow the schedule. If you get a crappy to normal sleeper, following their schedules feels almost impossible. I have a couple friends along with me who had read it and it just would never have worked with our brand of newborn but did for my friends babies who didn't have reflux and all the things.

So if you are a pregnant person considering it, be gentle with yourself and know that it doesn't work for MANY of us and it's not because we're not doing it "right." Some of this is what kid you get.

My husband used this schedule to our four month old on a schedule. She’s two now and she’s down by 7:30 every night as she has been since 4 months. Loved it.

I think it’s like everything else—everything works somewhere nothing works everywhere. We liked the schedules but we were tied to them. We had no idea what we were doing so it was a starting point. I didn’t find much of their other advice super helpful. I think the era of “something is wrong with my kid let me look it up in a book” is over.
