Any Military Road Early Learning Center parents here? How do you like it? Anyone familiar with the aftercare program, Capitol Language Services, LLC? |
We were there last year for Pre-K3 and loved it. Great leadership, adore the teachers, very well organized, good communication, etc. I also like that it’s very small and a stand-alone ECE. I think there are 4 or 5 classrooms total. Everyone learned our name and vice versa very quickly. We did not use aftercare so cannot speak to that. |
Does anyone have more recent data on Military Road ELC? Got in for PK3 and eager to learn more! |
It’s a great school. Very good teachers and lots of resources. The focus on preK is nice as the admins and teachers really “get” the age group. My child is very impressionable and I’m also glad to get acclimated to a school environment without older and bigger kids around. |
Any other former or current parents (or friends of former or current parents)? About ready to hit enroll for my PK3’er, but would love to hear more opinions, if available! |
What are your other options? |
I’m the PP - our other options are one of the popular centers in Tenleytown (potentially with PKEEP if funded) or Bethesda, or doing a post-lottery application at Appletree Spring Valley or anywhere else that might have space.
We live just west of the park about a mile from MRELC and I commute through Bethesda, so don’t want to go much past 14th. As I type this seems like a no brainer based on price, location and offering, but would love any color anyone has. |
I wouldn’t overthink it. Seems like a great option for you based on all the things you listed. DC universally does prek3 extremely well, and it does standalone ECE centers even better. Military Road falls squarely into that. The only better option would be a school that went past K, but you don’t have that. |
