Spring break dates

New MCPS parent here- am I understanding correctly from the calendar that spring break includes the Friday before and Monday after the main week? That is, March 31 -April 10? How often do spring break days get pulled for snow day make ups? Thanks!

Yes, your understanding is correct. March 31st is technically not part of spring break, but there is no school for students that day, because it is for teacher's end of quarter grading.

They hardly ever take back make-up days from spring break. They're more likely to change a one-off professional day to a half-day or to add on a day at the end of the year.

MCPS spring breaks always include the Friday before and Monday after Easter. But whether it's the rest of the week before or the rest of the week after can vary.
