Mercedes e class wagon

I know the Mercedes' wagons don't sell often and I don't know anyone that has one. Any thoughts on these. I love how they look and that they seem different from SUV's while at the same time seem to fly under the radar in terms of people thinking anything obnoxious or show offy about them. I'm trading from an Audi etron gt that we've enjoyed but is a bit too tight space wise, drew too much attention, and can get more than was paid for it if we sell it now.

I love them but so overpriced.

Lol. They are totally “obnoxious and show offy.” Not sure who you think you are kidding. Buy what you want but this car is not understated.

Felt long. Very zippy. 2nd row felt like had limited legroom. This was 4 years ago.

It may not be show offy, but it shows that you are actually rich. Wannabe rich would buy the better looking e-class sedan to pretend that they are rich.
The true rich see the e-class as a basic car and buy the wagon for practicality. You are one of them. Congratulations!

I love German wagons over any SUVs. I just don’t enjoy the handling of high SUVs. The long roofs aren’t very common and hold their value really well. I don’t agree that they are showy as no one really pays attention to luxury wagons which is part of their appeal. Big thumbs up for the MB wagon in general.

Buy Volvo wagon instead if you want to fly under the radar. I'm way more judgy about Mercedes wagons or those boxy weird SUVs that exist solely for the signalling purpose.

I like long butts and I cannot lie.

We loved ours, but we only have one kid. It wouldn’t seat five people comfortably, in my opinion. Smooth to drive, lots of good features (hello, massage function!), and a solid but good-handling car. Sadly someone ran a red light and totaled our wagon, and since the time we bought it our financial landscape has changed, so we’re not buying another one. RIP, wagon!

Are you referring to the G wagon rather than the E wagon? E wagons (station wagons) are pretty understated.

How old are your kids? If they are under 6, they can ride in the 3rd row seat in the back (riding backwards) and our kids loved that.

DH is a real car enthusiast and he found the e wagon (particularly the e 63) the perfect balance of a powerful, sporty, safe and practical car. It has more luggage space than Mercedes SUVs. the second row of seats can also collapse to allow for more storage. The front seats have nice features like massages. It's a great car that provides a lot of comfort and luxury without being flashy.

My parents had one back in the 1980s and the rear facing seat was my favorite part of the car. We now have a 2020 e450 now and love it. The one caveat is that unlike my childhood where facing to the rear was acceptable, the rear seat is not very comfortable and for some weird reason doesn't feel as safe as a 3rd row in most suvs. So we use it as a weekend car, commuter to school and work car etc. the kids are allowed to sit in the back if we are around town and not going to be on the highways. For trips on the highway we have a 3 row suv.

Best car ever! I can't afford one but love seeing them on the road and imagining I was the driver!
