I am looking to buy a new car. Do higher end cars have inventory on lots? Like BMW, Porche etc.
Rates are rising hence borrowing becomes more difficult so would slow things down or is the shortage still there. Assuming brand matters. |
| Depends on the specific model. A lot of Porsche sports cars are going for above MSRP with over 1+ year waiting list. If you want a regular Macan those are easier to get. Regular BMW X3 and X5 SUVs should be easier to get as well. |
Most higher end dealerships have websites listing their inventories. If there’s a photo of an actual vehicle with VIN it may be in stock. Otherwise it’s in production or in transit. You need to do some leg work depending on what you’re looking for. Worst case is you order a BMW SUV and get in it six to ten weeks depending on dealer allocation availability: |
| I know someone who waited 10 months recently, but that was for an M |
| I just switched from Geico to State Farm and am happy. I'm paying the same amount, but had bare minimum coverage before. Now with State Farm, I have a ton more coverage, rental car, windshield, etc.... |
Sorry, wrong thread! |

BMW X3/5 are all selling below MSRP. We bought X5 last month and got 10% off MSRP and got a similar quote for Mercedes GLE. Walk away from whoever is still selling you at MSRP for BMW or Mercedes.
Currently the standard for BMW and Mercedes is: 7-10% off cars in the lot and 3-5% for custom builds. |
