Do any vets let you go in with your pet?

My cat cannot be touched by anyone but me or she freaks out

My Vet (Dupont Vet Clinic) let's you in, with a mask.

I've owned a dog since 1980 or so (total of 4) and I have NEVER not been in room with Vet. I didn't know that was an option, I would not let them examine my dog without me.

Yes, my vet does.

We use Rock Creek Home Vet now (my old vet stopped letting people in during COVID and still doesn’t). I love that they come to the house and you’re there with them the whole time.

Yes, for exams or sick visits. Tech visits are usually wait in the car but I think they would let me go in if I asked. My dog likes the vet so it's not a big deal for her. I think they were stricter during peak covid. Now I think they're just realizing that pets stress out together in the waiting area so people wait outside until doctor is ready.

I've never not gone in with my dogs

My vet finally dropped Covid protocols in June. We can go in again and no masks.

The only time I've not gone in was in the beginning of the pandemic when no one was let in. Cat or dog went in, vet called on speakerphone. My cat basically tried to kill them despite loads of tranquilizers. She was not welcomed back.

I’m sorry and I know this is stressful but it really made me chuckle.

Yes, except during the pandemic.

Yes, Cat Place in Kensington. It doesn't matter if I'm there or not, my cat doesn't like the vet. Not the vet's fault - the cat doesn't understand why someone is sticking a needle in her!

Are you happy with the home vet service? I’m considering this for my elderly dog who has never gotten over her fear of cars.
