| Can you please share your 9th grader MAP R score? |
| No. |
| What was your child's MAP score? |
| So long as we are asking let's get gender, race/ethnicity, and the name of their school |
| Looks like MAP R scores have dropped this fall , my DC got less than Spring 22 score.🥺 |
| It is one test from one day of their young life. |
| MAP scores are ridiculous for HS. No time should be wasted taking this test at the HS level. |
It’s called summer. MAP-R scores usually drop the following fall. |
+1 These literally don’t matter anymore. |
I teach in High school, and I actually think it is useful for 9th graders because there are still many not reading at grade level, and there are also many kids who weren’t in MCPS previously and we have no data for. After 9th it should only be kids with less than a target score. |
My ES student scored 232. Not sure what it means. |
Just turn the sheet over and read the other side. |
|
How do you have scores already? I don't see them in parentvue and haven't gotten a sheet home.
Also, no wonder everyone has anxiety these days with all the tests and all the notifications and systems to log into. Ugh. |
There's always a drop from Spring to Fall on average. If you check the NWEA data, you can see this for yourself. Nevertheless, my kids usually go up because I make them read books over the summer. |
The test displays your score when it completes so they're relying on their kid to provide this accurately. |
