Please explain the Medicated FET protocol

Anonymous
Can someone explain what a FET protocol looks like? Last month we did a fresh transfer, which resulted in chemical pregnancy, so now we're proceeding with a frozen transfer.

It varies by practice, but typically you’ll go in for a baseline appointment, have blood work done to check hormone levels, have a transvaginal ultrasound done to check your uterus and follicles and lining thickness. You’ll be prescribed meds to stabilize things (some doctors require a BC protocol others don’t and you just have to do progesterone and estrogen). You’ll be monitored for 3 or so weeks and then will be scheduled for transfer. The rest is exactly like having a fresh transfer.
