We're looking to replace our 9 year old propane/gas grill. Recommend your grill. Trying to stay around $300, but if you have a high-end grill - what do you love/hate about it? Weber seems to be expensive, are they really worth it? Thanks.

We recently replaced our 10 yr old Weber with another Weber. The only reason we did was that we had the old connector style that we could no longer get tanks for. I think the new one is a Weber Spirit. DH loves it.
I found the reviews on Amazon to be really helpful, although we bought it from Strosniders. Depending on what is wrong with your grill, you might just want to get replacement parts. |

I recommend the Webber Performer. This is a charcoal grill that has a small propane tank used to get the coals lit. In my opinion, it combines the best of the charcoal and propane worlds. Personally, I would never grill over propane. However, I do like the convenience of not struggling to light coals or deal with smelling lighter fluid (or the lighter fluid-covered charcoal that is sold these days).

I am not happy with stainless steele. They require a lot of cleaning. Grills should be black.
Is that a comment on my personal hygiene?

Today Show this morning said that there was a $200 grill from Walmart that was highest rated from Consumer Reports. Don't remember the name but I'm sure their website will have it.
Big Green Egg...just bought one and will never ever own another grill. Simple to light the charcoal (seriously easier than the one touch Weber).
