I cannot believe that a preschool would claim that parents cannot sue the school over sexual abuse.

That’s because they have had several issues with men at their center in past. And they didn’t learn from it. They just hired a man in their 2s room changing diapers and the like. |
Sexual abuse has no gender boundaries. Is it fair to the institution when shady individuals make choices to abuse? Both sides could be argued with enough evidence to argue for or against. A school should deeply vet anyone who will be changing diapers and potty training children. However an individual should be prosecuted and sued for breaking the law. If a school knowingly hires or abets an serial abuser then they are complicit. |
I read that in the WaPo and I can't believe anyone can support them after such an unfeeling, completely unethical claim. |
Boundaries, no. But men disproportionately commit sexual abuse. |
Even if they can't sue the center, what are the police waiting for? You can't sign away police action against sexual abuse of a minor. You don't have that right in the first place.
Why don't they go to the police???? |
Westland had a parent waiver form for a "team building event" that forced parents to sign away any right to sue the private company they brought in for the event, for any reason. When I asked the principal why they would ask this of parents she acted like I was crazy. Any company that asks that of parents should be suspect. The school should have the students and parents' backs, not protect a private company. |
I am not even sure how these waivers could be enforceable.

It’s shocking that the temple wouldn’t just settle the case unless they simply can’t afford what the plaintiffs are demanding. |
