PSAT Day Wednesday what do seniors do?

Walter Johnson HS.

Do seniors have class? If they don't, could they just skip school that day?

By definition if they have class and don’t go, they are skipping. If they don’t have class, then they don’t have class.

OP here. Right. The general email just said seniors could go to the media center and work on their college essays, which my senior can do from home. So unless his teachers have office hours that day he could benefit from, it doesn't make sense to show up. But the message wasn't very clear.

He can just ask tomorrow, I guess.

Isn't the PSAT on October 12?

Great day to do a college tour

When mine were seniors at WJ, they did not go to school on PSAT day.

The only consequence is you'll get an automated voicemail message saying that your child wasn't in school. No big deal

PSAT day isn’t all day. There are usually shortened classes in the afternoon. The message about working in the media center is most like for students who need to ride the bus, but need a place to be during the morning.

At our school the afternoon is for wellness activities. Some teachers even discourage the younger students from staying for those.

The wellness activities are BS. My kid can work on her ‘wellness’ at home.

Boy, you managed to pack a whole lotta stuff in that sentence.

The school will give guidance as it approaches. At ours, they told seniors to work on college applications in the morning. The only reason seniors would go to school is if they need the bus transportation.
