| We just started JSI and were taken aback to see how full it was. Was this your experience too especially if you have been doing it for a while? We have heard nothing but good things, however, this does surprise us that there seemed to be no cap. |
| They not very good |

| What is your question? Is your kid a good player? |
Just asking people who have experience with that place if it is usually very crowded. Did a summer camp but it wasnt this full. |
Of cougars beginner classes will be full. A lot of sitting and waiting. This is not only specific to JSI. It’s everywhere in DMV at these academies |

NP here. Are there programs in the area that you know that offers smaller group sessions for more competitive kids?
JSI looks like they have a handful of great players but without capping the number of kids at each session, how do they manage the teacher-to-student ratio or the court time the kids get. |
You should see hong Tennis. I think they have like 1 coach and 30 kids running around |
At JTCC, the ratio is about 4:1 for the champ programs. |
Could explain why JTCC is almost double the cost as well. Easy to have good ratio when you can charge a much higher premium. |
Da truth |
| That said, JSI ratio is pretty concerning. At worse it's been 16 students to 1 teacher, and at best 8 students to 1 teacher. The bigger concern is cramming that many kids onto a limited number of courts and thereby not giving proper court time. JSI is "invitations only" but given the numbers of kids they invite to the JSI level, this really decreases the quality of the program imo. |
So try Jtcc if your kid is a stud? |
| Anyone have experience with OSSA? |
