instrument vs chorus

I missed the info session (though there will be another one later this week) and am curious:

Can my 4th grader do an instrument AND chorus or does she have to choose one? I filled out the instrument interest form but there was no mention on it of chorus/singing.

Probably depends on the school. At our school, yes - instrumental music is a pullout during the day, and chorus is an after school enrichment activity.

Different program. They have a separate instrument teacher. Every school does it differently. Ours was with the regular music teacher just for 5th graders and they forced all the kids to do it during regular music.

At our ES the two activities did not conflict. Many students did both.
