I loved Ragnorok and felt it was a good homage to 70s and 80s sci Fi films.
This move was much heavier, and a little too on the nose for humor (old spice commercial? The way they destroyed a temple, etc). One scene has been bugging me and I can’t find any reference in the internet so turning to hive mind. When they talk about turning the goats into “meet” I swear Chris Pratt is side-eyeing DIRECTLY at the camera. Was he supposed to be breaking the 4th wall? Was he looking at something else that I missed. It’s just bugging me, or was it just an error they let thru? |
| I have seen this movie twice in the past week and have no idea what you are talking about, which says me more about me I guess than this post but now I have to go watch it a third time and I hate you for that OP. |
| I am nit sure I could watch it twice, let alone 3x. |
It’s minutes 23:17 or so, sorry! |
Really, did you like Ragnorak? You have to wonder how the set was, because it was all wacky and rainbow, and there’s method actor Christian Bale grimmer than the dark knight as the vengeful mourning God Killer. |

It's definitely not as fun as Ragnarok. The fun in Love and Thunder is jokes. The fun in Ragnarok is the energy of entire scenes. Feels like a bit of a shadow comparatively.
I am not a Marvel fan either, I only liked Ragnarok and Black Panther. I want a SHOW! |
You know the precise time stamp of a scene in a movie you saw once in the theater? |
It’s out on Disney+ Thur; I saw it last night. |

As a comic book fan so seeing these stories come to life is very exciting. Are they all great, not at all; but they are fun.
Favorite part of the movie was when they were on the Aegir and seeing the Cocktails and Dreams sign from Cocktail. Did Brian Flanagan franchise his bar?!? |
| I just pulled it up to see what you were talking about. I think it's just a bad edit. Maybe it was the best take they got for that scene and left it in. The only guardians not in the shot are Drax and Rocket. Rocket's too short based on his sightline, so it's possible (but unlikely) he was looking at Drax. The only MCU character who's breaking the fourth wall right now is She-Hulk. |
