I was just reading the vegan t-giving post. I'm a vegetarian and always trying to play with new recipes for the holiday. I tend to use a lot of mushroom, safe, thyme, sweet potato...

What to you are the essential Thanksgiving flavors or flavor combinations? What seasonings or flavors are must haves in your Thanksgiving cooking?

Sweet dishes, Pumpkin, apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, clove, cardamon, maple syrup

Savory dishes: rosemary, thyme, garlic, savory, parsley, dill, thyme, onion, celery seed, mustard

And real vanilla for sweet, can’t bake much without a touch of vanilla

Persian Jeweled Rice with cranberries is a fantastic thanksgiving side. Just don’t tell the boomers it’s Persian. Call it thanksgiving rice

I love a good butternut squash/apple soup as a starter and for the next day.
