Does APS teach geography?

We didn’t learn it in school when I was growing up (in a different Virginia county). I wonder whether they teach it now.

Depends - is there an app for it?

My son’s favorite teacher K-12 was his 8th grade Geo teacher in APS

They actually make a geography notebook! They started off last week by drawing the world map from memory, very humorous depictions I’d bet!

I do. I may not if they can't curtail the over-reliance on apps for teaching core content.

At back to school night for eighth grade last night, it was evident the majority of geography is not on an app. At the risk of “bothering” people who are offended by using paper/killing trees, they do everything in a paper notebook, pasting pages into it. There are of course supplemental videos, but it’s not as if there’s a geography app they’re learning using for the majority of class. It was honestly refreshing to see that.
