If your freshman is allowed to have a car on campus, how much is a parking pass?
Also where are they allowed to park? Kiddo paid $160 last year and could only park at their dorm or at the Rec center 24/7. There was an exception that opened other lots after 4:30 but those did not allow overnight parking. This year living off campus, it is same $160 for a specific lot. No dorm parking. Rec center ok, but nowhere else. There are some by the hour spots with a limit of four hours. We are fortunate parking for freshmen was allowed. |

Freshmen are allowed to have a car. Parking is $360 a year.
It’s a urban area and there are multiple parking garages with designated areas for residents, commuters & faculty. Parking seems to be adequate, but tight, especially for those who live off campus. |
| Small LAC in the midwest, and parking was $250. |
| $700 at UMD. |
| 875 per year |
| Car is in a closed lot about a mile from dorms. Parking in the lot is free with a tag. (Tag was free, but need to apply). |
| $600 year |
| Rural school in upstate NY Parking is free. |
Similar school but DC pays $150/year for sticker to park in campus lots |
| $275-Urban, flagship in the Midwest |
| Permit required but no fee, student lots all around including near most dorms, but certainly space runs out in any given lot depending on time of day. Always room at over flow lots, and usually underground level of garage. Students are also able to leave a car over the summer or semester abroad, but can't imagine many do. |
| $0 but school is near small town in upstate NY, relatively isolated, with student parking a healthy walk from the dorms. Friendly tip: add your child to your AAA account before they take a car to school so you don’t end up with a same day add-on surprise cost. |
