what kind of learning style is this?

3 year old can learn how to sing a song in foreign language, but she cannot learn it by being read to/sitting in the classroom listening to teachers. She still does not know her abc and numbers , but she can tell me those are monkey, apple, bananas. Letters abc and numbers seem too tough for her, but she can sing the alphabet and number songs. What kind of learning style is that? Is that pure memorization? Or music attracts her attention better?

She is the only kid still does not know her abc and numbers in the daycare, and she has been there for 1 year. She only can recognize letter "O", but she can tell me many object names.

Are her teachers concerned? If they are, have they suggested you get her evaluated by any sort of medical/psychological professional? If not, lay off her. She is three.

I’m tired of the scripted news about this already.

Try to teach her the alphabet and numbers yourself. She may need one on one time to learn outside of daycare. You can make songs and music a big part of it since that interests her.

Possibly an auditory learner. She’s quite young. Don’t worry about letters and numbers. Let her continue to learn and explore.
