I'm not sure if they have pick up sites local to you, but we have used Lancaster Farms CSA for years and have always been very happy with the quality. You do take what you get though - there isn't any swapping items - it's truly what they've grown that week. We've been doing their fall and summer share for about 8 years and each year is different, partially in response to what people complain about getting or not getting, but mainly based on what grows best that season/year.
Fruit is really hard to get locally. We do the Lancaster farms fruit share in the summer and we get apples, berries, peaches, plums, and melons. They very occasionally will source fruit from farther away since there isn't a lot grown in PA. The quality is always good, but it's not as plentiful or as much variety as the more easily grown veggies.
