Are the MCPS schools in session on Monday, September 26?

I don't know why mcps can't just say Rosh Hashanah. We should demand equity between religious holidays! (Kidding)

A few years ago they decided to remove the names of all of the holidays and just report them as non-instructional days.

It was 2014. I remember it far too well.

It made national news. The headlines were basically "Mont. County maryland no long gives Christmas break to students." After getting multiple texts about it, I explained to my out-of-state family that "Don't believe the headline. We really do have a break at Christmastime." They really didn't believe me.
