| I bought a bag of Viva Tierra organic California bartlett pears from Trader Joe's over a week ago and promptly forgot about them. I finally got around to eating them today and OMG they are the most delicious pears I've had in years, including pears from a CSA. I can't recommend them right off the shelf, because I have no idea what they were like then, but if you neglect them for at least 7 days you will have something special on your hands. |

Yup, some pears taste better as counter-ripen pears. In your case, the pears probably were off the trees about 1-2 weeks + 1 weeks on your counter.

| Another PSA — While you’re at TJ’s, pick up some of their chile lime seasoning, and use it one a bowl of fresh nectarines & blackberries. At least for this app, I think it’s better than tajin. |
Or popcorn, friend eggs, avocado toast...my kids LOVE the TJ chili lime seasoning. |
| I'm a pear junkie. I think it's the most underrated fruit and so over looked |
| Thank you! We need more posts like this! I'm always on the lookout for great fruit finds. |
| Great tips, tysm |
| I thought you were going to say that they were rotten, which wouldn’t have surprised me considering they are from TJ. |
O.M.G.thank you, thank you, thank you! I tried them one day after purchase and they were quite hard. I then waited 6 days and WOW they are amazing! Thank you again for the PSA! |
