Portfolio review

DC Considering a transfer into an art based school where a portfolio is required. All the examples online, etc. Speak about a “portfolio review”. Any advice on a person locally or online that assists with this?

Why an art based school versus a college that has an art major?

Curious.

Hi, OP. You mention transfer. So this is a student already in college, OP? Is that right? Is there an art teacher at the current college whom DC trusts enough to tell the teacher/professor about the transfer plan, and to ask that person's advice about what the art college expects and how to get that done?

Good thoughts but the current college is huge and not currently on that side of the house.

Look online. There are resources (that I don’t have at hand). There are specific things they look for (like process, etc), so don’t assume it’s just a collection of the artist’s best work. My kid looked into it and ultimately decided to major in something else.
