Any suggestions for the best websites/podcasts to follow. My son is only 15 so I don't know how good he will be in a few years - not sure which division is even possible.

Thanks.

Your coach knows. Ask him. There is no secret website or podcast. At this point, Your coach knows the road your kid is on and should be supporting him on that road.

This simply isn’t true. My son is being recruited for baseball, and his high school coach is no help - actually school is between coaches and they pay so little they aren’t going to get someone who will invest in the kids. His travel team only does this for their showcase team, and not the regional travel team. Yet many of the boys on the regional travel team have every possibility of playing D3 if that is what they want to do.

So, maybe your coach can help. If they can’t you can get a different coach (easier said than done) or you can pay one of the recruiting services. We have signed up with NCSA for a platform and Baseball Factory for the advice/guidance part of recruitment.

PP again - the other option I didn’t mention is DIY, and you can do that! Start by following the Get Recruited for College Sports (or something like that) on Facebook. There is also a book I read about college recruitment for Baseball and I forget the name, but there were only a few of them on Amazon. Take a look and get a recent one with good reviews.

HS Baseball Web. They have a message board with some extremely connected individuals. One regular poster's son is a head D1 baseball coach. There are parents of professional players - one mom's son was traded from San Diego to the Nats in the Juan Soto trade.

Summer baseball showcases. Nephew got 2 on the spot offers including one from a top 10 National University.

You can easily "DIY" it. We did + it worked. Do order every book on AMZ on college athletic recruiting + google articles about baseball recruiting. Video your son's games. Google baseball team pages of schools your kid is interested in. Have your kid (not you!) Email/text college coaches to express interest. Have kid get best test scores/grades possible. When you trave!- have kid ask coaches to do quick meetup . Good luck! It is a marketing campaign to get on coach's radar.
