| I have never used an air fryer- any good recipes?? |
| You mean it has a convection option. |
Is that the same thing? The button says air fryer |
Yes it’s the same thing. Air fryer is a brilliant marketing term used to sell small countertop convection ovens. |
| It means there's a fan in the back. Convection. Lots of ovens have that. |
| Portable/countertop air fryers use convection, or a fan to heat food. The main difference is the portable air fryer will cook somewhat faster since the fan is closer to, and better focused on, the food (usually). The convection setting in a traditional oven will have more space for food, which can cook larger amounts at once. It will use more electricity but you may be able to cook more at once. |

We just got a double oven and the smaller one is a convection/air fryer.
I need recipes too. |
| Unfortunately, the air fryer/convection feature of an oven is not going to produce results comparable to a single-function air fryer, but they can cook foods faster than an oven not using convection, and of course have a much larger capacity than an air fryer. It’s a good intermediate option if you are trying to mimic the results of deep frying. |
