Car insurance rates Middle aged

I noticed my rates went up for geico from 67 to 79 a month . I’m 47, no accidents since 1991. My car is 18 years old. Is this just inflation or do they charge more when you age ?

There has been a lot of posts recently about Geico increasing rates. Its not just your age. They were recently approved in Virginia for a 25%+ increase. Loyalty doesn't pay. Switch to someone else, reduce your rates. If you want to go back to Geico in a year, they will likely give you a much cheaper rate than they do now.

Many insurance companies lowered rates in 2020 and sent refunds to policyholders. Rates are now starting to increase.

Geico did that to me after 10 years of being a customer. I said to hell with them. Just switch to another company, go online and get quotes.
