Farmers Market v. Whole Foods for meat/seafood

Who do you think offers the better value proposition for good tasting meat and seafood? Chicken thighs cost basically the same, crab meat is surprisingly cheaper at the market ($38/lb for lump), but beef is more expensive with steaks $25+/lb

I have had terrible experience with chicken from Whole Foods. Unwrapped and the most god awful smell emerged. This has happened enough that I won't purchase from them. And because of the chicken issue, I don't buy meat or seafood there either.

I have purchased ground beef at our local farmers market and it was ok. I mean it was ground beef so I don't know if it could taste amazing but it made a good burger.
