What happened to the card they carry that says they are free range kids? |
OK, I was wrong. They put something up late Sunday night, after the kids were home. Meanwhile, how did the Post get the information so quickly? Well, maybe somebody at the Post monitors the local news channels. How did the local news channels get the news so quickly? Well, maybe friends or relatives of the parents called a news channel to say that CPS had the children. It seems a reasonable and obvious thing to do. |
They haven't filed the lawsuit yet, but I'm guessing that it will be about more than the kids not eating between 3 pm and 10:30 pm. |
Right like all those people walking back and forth around the parking garage on sunday evening. Right. |
Or 8, for that matter? |
I live in the area, and you are wrong. That block does not get much foot traffic on a sunday. get real. |
Did you look at a map? It's by the Safeway, the comic shop, a Citgo, etc. Yes, there are people around. |
Oh don't be stupid. First of all, the guidelines say 8, not 10. Second, you're teaching them when you're with them. Obviously. |
You're right. The father signed a safety plan on December 20, after CPS said that they would take the children if he didn't; the safety plan said that he wouldn't leave his children unsupervised until December 22. http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/mary...4-bcfb-059ec7a93ddc_story.html |
WaPo does have a local crime beat. They report local crimes. |
And then some parents make decisions that are bad for their kids. Which is the purview of CPS. You really don't know this case well enough to know. |
The younger one is 8. She was ready earlier, but I was worried about somebody calling CPS. |
I'm not a helicopter parent because u don't trust my kids - I don't trust weirdos at the park! My kids are very capable and as responsible as any 5 and 6 year old. But I don't let them walk anywhere alone because I would rather be safe than sorry. Period. |
It doesn't. The guideline says 8. |
Exactly. And they have food allergies but no epipen. Ok. |
