Do we still think B will take this position at TSJFCV? What does Vegas have the odds of him backing out at now?

Honestly though, how much longer can FCV families wait? Tryout season is winding down some places and won't be going on much longer in most others. Are families going to accept offers if fields aren't announced and willing to wait until next Fall to see if field space opens up?

I don't think BCs calls went well this past weekend. I know of only a small handful that have accepted FCV's offer, everyone else is accepting offers on other clubs.

There are not fields at TSJFCV unless you go to George Mason or you get a portion of a field in the fieldhouse which is shared by every other sport and doesn’t have space for teams to practice. Springfield doesn’t have fields in Springfield.

This is why many now speculate he won’t take the position.

I heard he is supposed to be at IMG this weekend watching the teams / players. Long way to travel to watch the 3 kids that accepted spots with his club next fall.

I’m curious what the older teams, like U17+ are doing. Those players are largely either already committed to play in college or about to be (the players for whom that’s an option, I mean). Aside from just needing to continue playing somewhere, they don’t really have much else to “prove” at this point. So do they stay with FCV or move somewhere else?

Another staff announcement but no fields still!

Lmao FCV announcing a new boys director when there will be very little boys teams next Fall. This Spring is surely the last of those GREAT Spanish coaches from Barca/Sporting Global. With the majority of their 06s graduating, surely their 07s/9/10/11 won’t stay for the new guy.

There absolutely is a vision at FCV. The question is whether it’s already too late and, if not, whether they have the right people to execute it.
