How do you think the ACPS school board is doing this year?

How do you think the ACPS school board is doing this year? I appreciate school board members like Abdel Elnoubi and Ashley Simpson Baird who have communications, but why do so many SB members use Twitter and not Facebook or something more parents are on? It is hard to read Dr. Simpson Baird's medium reports. I like Mr. Elnoubi's easy to read Facebook posts and newsletter. Do other members do this?
I'm in District A and I've seen very little opportunities for me to engage with my members. I am very disappointed in Willie Bailey. He seems to discourage communication and transparency. He's like the popular kid in HS. I'm sure he's a great guy and does a lot volunteering in addition to his job as a firefighter, but what has he done this year? Bully Elnoubi and Booz in the news for speaking up for saying ACPS can't censor them. Why do more members not try to engage people? I like how Elnoubi is hosting a joint listening session with Canek Aguirre. I like Booz and Simpson Baird did coffee meet-ups earlier. I hear from a lot of people that SB members don't respond to their emails. I really would like to know that we don't just have people rubber stamping everything. We started ACPS in the pandemic, so I'd welcome an assessment from a more seasoned parent or community member. |

About ACPS? ACPS leadership opposes parent criticism and for District A, Bailey and Greene are non responsive. |
