Health and Medicine
| Can anyone recommend an Orthopedic Surgeon that will actually spend some time trying to assess my injury, and not just try to get me out the door as fast as possible? I've seen 3 over the course of several years and not one of them seem interested enough to do a thorough exam. All 3 have been on the Washingtonian's Top Doc lists. I want someone very competent since they will probably doing surgery on me but I want to make sure they know what all the issues are. |

Dr. Kenneth Fine
9711 Medical Center Drive, Suite 201 Rockville, MD 20850 301-251-1433 He did my knee surgery and he did a great job. What he sucks at is communication. He comes off as a jerk, but he is really not. He also didn't tell me how long the recovery would be and that ticked me off. All of this to say, he is a great surgeon, but you better make a list of questions to ask before you go in. |

| Robert Nevaiser and Benjamin Schaffer (both DC) are known for doing good work with shoulders. |
| I think he's in Howard County but Richard Kinnard is great with shoulders. Are you sure you need a surgeon? They don't tend to spend a ton of time with their patients...unless you are sure it's surgical maybe you are better off with a physical therapist or osteopath/PMR doc. |
