Pizza!
Think more in terms of meal than snack. As others have suggested, pizza is probably your best bet, unless they’re staying for supper and you were planning on ordering pizza. In which case, you might consider an abundance of sandwich/hoagies fixings along with chips, etc., for a snack or maybe something like tacos/fajitas for supper.
Pizza, simple and a desert. Cookies, brownies, what ever is easy.
Order pizza. As far as drinks, I'm no help I don't buy juice or soda so my kids and any company they have always drink water. I may buy juice if I'm being extra nice, but usually not.
Thanks PPs. I guess a meal is it!! I was thinking pretzels and some ice cream. I guess that’s not going to cut it.
How long are they staying? I wouldn't serve pizza. My 12 year old would eat 3 slices and then not eat dinner after school, I wouldn't want to do that to someone's family (it's my pet peeve when my kids don't eat the dinner that I made that they would otherwise like if they hadn't eaten a ton after school). I would put out apple slices, granola bars, and chips. A little sweet, a little salty, a little healthy. I've done this heifer and the kids are happy, and they do come back, so I know I'm not the anti fun house

Most 12 year old boys would eat the after school pizza AND dinner. For drinks, I would get the 12 oz size gatorades. |
Bon Chon wings! My sons love them
I often get a bunch of dim sum, or half a dozen to a dozen sushi rolls, and both are a big hit.
A few sub sandwiches and cut then into smaller size pieces.
