Ideas for family weekend activities with teens

Pools, playgrounds and museums no longer hold the same allure. Looking for some suggestions for things that won’t break the bank (some cost is fine though) for 6th and 9th grade DD’s. The first idea we had is Top Golf (but it’s very pricey so can’t spend that much all the time.)

We just took our 7th grader (and younger sib) to the Planet Word museum, which has a suggested donation but is not expensive. They loved it.

NP and it is. Took my then-6th grader last spring and she loved it.

Watching this thread, we always have trouble figuring out fun things to do on weekends. Don't ask me why.

Check Certifikid for deals and get on email lists for Sandy Spring Adventure Park, SUP rentals, river tubing to get discounted tickets for those kinds of things.
Bowling
Movies
Trying new restaurants/ice cream places/food trucks that require a bit of travel to get to and take you to a new or interesting area to explore
Bike rides
Hiking

Great Falls (check with rangers before you go on the Billy Goat trail to make sure you know what to expect)
Ice Skating
Boating (kayaks, canoes, rowboats, paddle boats)
Bowling
Mini-Golf
Lot of festivals in the area, but parking/metro and festival food can add up
Libraries/Parks and Recreation Departments/Nature Centers/Museums may have special events if you check their websites

Semi-pro sporting events can be relatively inexpensive and fun.
