| Clearly I haven’t been to one in a really, really long time. Do you still have to tip in cash? Or can you add it to the credit card bill? |
| I always plan to tip in cash. Depends where you go, some places don’t take cards at all. Not nails but my waxing place offers Venmo for tips instead of cash. |
| Cash is king for everything especially tips. |
| I tip on my credit card, I don't carry cash. Fewer and fewer people carry cash these days, and nail salons know this. |
While true, I keep a cash stash on hand to ensure that the person who provides the service receives the gratuity. Seems like the minimum I can do. |
| I always tip in cash and usually pay in cash at the nail salon, since it’s a bit cheaper to do so. It’s the one place I consistently use cash. They have an ATM there, so no biggie. |
| Every nail salon I go to gives me a hard time about using a card. |
| Always use cash |
| Venmo for tips. They all use it and appreciate it. Nails, hair places do it. |
| I wish I could venmo or put tip on credit card but everywhere I go they still almost always insist on cash. So ridiculous. |

My nail salon has pictures of all the technicians Venmo QR codes taped on the front desk. I still carry cash but if I am running low, Venmo makes it easy.
Suggest that to the owners? |
I wonder if with the newly enforced tax to Venmo such accounts this will go out of favor. |
It’s so they don’t have to report it on taxes. |
| OP here - thanks I went earlier today. They had an ATM on premises and grumbled something about Venmo. I took my chances on the shady looking ATM in the back. I didn’t have a chance to fit a normal bank ATM before I got there but next time definitely will. |

My favorite nail salon in Vienna prefers cards + tip included on card. Typically the owner will announce the tip to the technician…
Love that I don’t have to have cash, make change and calculate a tip. |
