trade in two cars?

Is it allowable to trade in 2 cars at a dealership to buy 1 car (another car, not 1 of the 2 cars).
This would be in Maryland: would the tax discount for trade in apply from value of both cars? |

| YEs to the first question, not sure about the second. But you cuold just tell them to overvalue one car and undervalue the other and use the overvalued one for MD tax purposes. |

| The trade tax credit can only be used on 1 trade, obviously pick the higher one. |

| Don't trade in your cars to a dealer. Three years ago, my DH signed paper to trade his old camry for $400 without discuss with me. I had a person I know watts to pay $1000 for it. Carmax’s estimation was $1 k. |

| Yea, get some quotes from Carmax, Vroom and Carvana. Not sure how that's affected by the trade tax credit, however. |
